2020 has been described as the year of H-E-double toothpicks. With pandemic, business closure, unemployment, physical distancing, wildfire, civil unrest, political strife and so much loss, is it any wonder we’re collectively tired and feeling empathy overload? Where will we land?

During this Uplift Kitsap, South Kitsap Fire Chief Jeff Faucett will lead discussion about the realities of compassion fatigue within our various professions and how to better support our self and staff over the 2020 tipping point.

  • The difference between compassion fatigue, burnout, and general unhappiness
  • Signs, factors, and triggers of workplace compassion fatigue
  • Mitigation strategies and action planning for healthy organizations and people
